Lennon Lewis is a retired boxer, who was, once, the undisputed world heavyweight champion. He represented Canada at the 1988 Olympics, winning a gold medal. He later became the world heavy-weight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC). He is of Jamaican descent and is known for his premeditated fighting style and his cool, confident demeanor in the ring. He is also the first Briton to win the world championship in a century and enjoys a colossal fan following in his home country. Turning professional in 1989, he won his first 21 fights. In 1992, he became the number one in the World Boxing Council (WBC) rankings and eventually the WBC heavyweight champion in 1993. Although he is retired from the sport, he tours around the world with his posse, promotes the game among boxing buffs.
