Richard Leonard Kuklinski was an American killer who was sentenced for the murder of five people. He was famously given the nickname ‘Iceman’ for his method of freezing a victim which masked the time of death. Kuklinski was also given the nicknames ‘the one-man army’ or ‘the devil himself’ by his fellow mobsters because of his fearsome reputation and imposing physique. His criminal career had him involved in activities ranging from narcotics, arms dealing, money laundering, pornography, and contract killing on a global level.

Kuklinski was a contract killer for New York City’s famous crime families. After his conviction, Kuklinski had admitted to killing over a 200 people. He was known to kill anyone who could testify against him, but got sloppy about disposing of his victims which ultimately led law enforcement to suspect him, further leading to investigation and gathering evidence to his conviction. He was arrested for five homicides and sentenced to lifetime imprisonment. He died in prison at the age of 70. Richard Kuklinski was married to Barbara Perrici and they had two daughters and one son.
