Peter Hollens is an American pop singer, songwriter and producer best known for his a cappella cover music which he releases through his self-titled YouTube channel. He has over 1.5 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, and is also present on almost all social media platforms. He regularly releases new singles on his channel, and has over 125 songs to his name. On February 21, 2012, he released his first studio album Hollens, which included 13 cover songs and one original song. His first full-length studio album was released in 2014 from the label Sony Masterworks. The eponymous album contained 12 cover songs and one original song titled “Ashland’s Song”, dedicated to his infant son Ashland. He and his a cappella group “On The Rocks” were featured on five episodes of NBC’s The Sing Off Season 2 in 2010. He worked with Eric Whitacre in 2013 and lent guest vocals to Brian Wilson’s song “Our Special Love” from the album No Pier Pressure. In 2016, he appeared as a special guest on the TV series Studio C and also contributed to its soundtrack. The same year, he performed on the TV movie Sing Presents a Holiday Remix: Live on YouTube. |
