After years of unsuccessful attempts, he finally was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District in 2000. From there his political career has been on a rise and he went on to become the Governor of Indiana in 2013.

Mike has dated –
Karen Pence (1985-Present) – Mike married a divorcée named Karen Batten on June 8, 1985. They are parents to son Michael Pence Jr. and daughters Charlotte Pence and Audrey Pence.
New Yorker writer Jane Mayer describes his vice president as “the connective thread” between Trump and the affluent backers of the Republican party. In 2020, Pence had to perform a double role in the reelection campaign as President Trump tested positive for COVID-19 those days, and Eric Trump handled the press. However, at the declaration of results, Mike Pence and Trump were defeated by their Democratic competitors Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
Trump contested the election results and began accusing voters of voter fraud. These statements, however, were not backed up by evidence. Trump then put pressure on Pence to prevent the election from being certified by Congress. That same day, Pence released a letter that contained Mike Pence’s statement not to overturn the results, and Congress began the certification procedure later soon.
