Josh Holloway is an American movie and television actor who became famous for his role of James Sawyer Ford in the highly popular television series titled Lost. He also became popular with his role of Gabriel Vaughn in the television serial Intelligence and the science fiction film Colony. His life had been a struggle all the way as being one of the four sons of very poor parents, he had to live in a trailer during his childhood and do part-time jobs at the age of eleven to support his family.

Though he finished high school and joined the University for doing higher studies, he could not continue after the first quarter due to lack of funds. He chose to take up modeling as he had good looks and a good height. Being a film buff from a very young age, he was attracted towards an acting career and soon found a place for himself in the world of acting while being a successful model. He started with a lead role in the television series Lost and graduated to acting in films like Mission: Impossible Ghost protocol. He comes from a Scottish and Dutch ancestry while his wife is of Indonesian and Chinese descent.
