Josh Duhamel is an American actor who became famous for various roles that he played in movies and television serials. He wanted to be a professional sportsman, played football for his university team but became a movie and television star instead. In between he spent time on studying biology to become a dentist and also tried his hand at entrepreneurship. He acquired a bachelor’s degree in biology to achieve his dream of becoming a dentist.

But he could not get admission to any college to study dentistry as his grades were not sufficiently good enough to make him eligible for a seat in any college. He did various odd jobs such as joining a construction company to earn a living. He was accidentally noticed by a talent scout and changed over to a modeling career. He got a break for acting in a television series while he was working as a model and was soon selected for doing roles in movies. In no time he became very popular among television and movie audiences. He has French, Canadian, German, Norwegian, English and Irish ancestry.
