Biography
Jill Biden has got married in 1977, she is the stepmother of two young sons from his first marriage, their names are Beau and Hunter, as per the report their mother has passed away in a car accident in 1972, her current husband is Joe Biden, they both are also blessed by a daughter whose name is Ashley, she was born in 1981, she is living happily in America along with her family.
Her educational background, in 1969, she graduated from the Upper Moreland High School in Willow Grove. Later, she joined the Brandywine Junior College in Pennsylvania to study fashion merchandising. However, she dropped out of college after one semester of being unsatisfied.
After that, she joined the University of Delaware. From the university, she earned a bachelors’ degree with Honors in Arts. In 1981, she earned a master’s degree from West Chester with Honors in Education. Also, she graduated from Villanova University with Honors in Arts.
At the age of 15, she started her career as a waitress. Later, she switched her career as a model when she was at the University of Delaware.
Moving forward, she became a substitute teacher for the St. Mark’s High School in Wilmington. In 1981, she took a break from her career as an educator to raise her daughter.
Two years after that, she resumed her career as an English teacher. At the time, she used to teach adolescent programs at Rockford Center psychiatric hospital.
In 1993, she joined the Stanton/Wilmington campus as an instructor. On the campus, she used to teach English composition and remedial writing for the students. In 2009, she joined the Northern Virginia Community College as the English profession. Since then, she is associated with the college as a professor.
Mrs Biden previously held the title of Second Lady while her husband served as vice-president from 2009 to 2017.
During this period, her work included promoting community colleges, advocating for military families and raising awareness about breast cancer prevention.
She also launched the Joining Forces initiative with First Lady Michelle Obama, which included helping military veterans and their families access education programmes and employment resources.
In 2012, she published a children’s book called Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops based on her granddaughter’s experience of being in a military family.
She has been a prominent supporter of her husband during the 2020 campaign, appearing alongside him and holding events and fundraisers.
