Elliott Carter is recognized as one of the most important and popular American composers of the classical music tradition all around the globe. Elliott Carter is known as one of the leading pioneers and avant-gardes of music of the twentieth century. He was very much influenced by the works of Stravinsky, Harris, Copland, and Hindemith. Subsequently, he developed a unique style of his own.
