Anna Chlumsky is a critically acclaimed American actress who rose to fame as a child actor in the films ‘My Girl’ and its sequel ‘My Girl 2’. She continued to charm the audience with lead roles in films like ‘Trading Mom’ and ‘Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain’. Her performance in these movies earned her a number of prestigious awards early on in her career. The girl, who always missed her friends back at school during film shoots, started to get alienated from the show business in her high school years. She started to lose interest in acting and focused on her education. While she aspired to become a food writer, the best she got was the job of a fact-checker for Zagat restaurant guides. Even her next assignment as an editorial assistant at HarperCollins made her feel miserable. She decided to return to acting and following the advice of her agent, she started afresh by taking acting classes to polish her skills. Soon after, she bagged the role of Liza in ‘In the Loop’ and started to feature in Off Broadway plays.
