Aaron Brown is an American broadcast journalist who received much acclaim for his coverage of the September 11, 2001 attack. For the veteran journalist, the coverage of the attacks marked his first assignment for CNN. Prior to joining CNN he had worked for ABC in several capacities including as a reporter for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. Born into a Jewish family in Hopkins, he grew up to be a rebellious child who set his eyes on a journalistic career when he was quite young. He started his own newspaper at the age of ten and was confident that he would one day realize his career goals. Even though he was not a good student at school and dropped out of college without a degree, he was blessed with tremendous self-confidence and ambitions. Starting his career as a radio talk host, he soon became a reporter and then an anchor. After a successful stint with ABC he moved on to CNN when his career touched newer heights with the coverage of the horrific terror attacks in September 2001. In addition to his journalistic works he has also served as the first Walter Cronkite Professor of Journalism at Arizona State University. |
