Michael Edward Mike Love is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and an important member of the 1960s band The Beach Boys. Love was born and brought up in California in a rich family as his father inherited Love Sheet Metal Company from his family. As he grew older he became confused as to what to do further in life and he decided to help out his father in his business. He also started spending more and more time with his uncle Murry Wilson, who was a musician and record producer, and his sons. Wilson sons and Love formed the Beach Boys in the 60s and gave out hit albums like Surfin Safari, All Summer Long, Friends, etc. Love was the central voice of the band as well as wrote and co-wrote lyrics for most of their albums. Love also came out with his solo album called Looking Back With Love in the early 80s. He is of a very spiritual nature and is known to be amongst the first few pop artists from America to go to India and learn Transcendental Meditation. He still follows the path of spirituality and performs Hindu customs and practices. |
