Personal Fact of David Rockefeller | |
Wisdom Comes with Age and David Rockefeller, at the age of 100, is probably the most famous example of the fact. An American banker and philanthropist, he is also one of the very famous surviving members of the well-known Rockefeller family. He served as a chairman and chief executive of Chase Manhattan Corporation and is the youngest as well as the only living child of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller. He was very fond of politics and he wished to be back to politics after the World War II. However, he finally decided upon seeking experience in the business field. He started his career as an assistant manager in the foreign department of a bank and soon rose to the designations of an assistant cashier, then second vice president and finally the vice president. He was involved with the Council for Foreign Relations and the Centre for Inter-American Relations and it got reflected in his interest in Latin America and in foreign affairs in particular. He was famous for his skills in international banking and was quite a familiar figure to the head of states and the global ministers. He is now regarded to be world’s oldest billionaire. |
