With her enigmatic appeal and prolific talent, Diane Lane is a versatile and unconventional actress, who has enthralled the audiences with her riveting performances. She joined theatre when she was only six and made her debut in films with A little Romance garnering praise and appreciation for her talent. The Hollywood fraternity, however, was not very welcoming as despite proving her acting abilities, she did not get the kind of roles she desired. Unwilling to compromise on her choice of roles, she did not immediately hit stardom and worked in several commercially unsuccessful films. Realising that her career was spiralling downwards, she quit work for a few years and made a comeback with Unfaithful. This time around, she took on a number of challenging roles and cemented place in the world of glitz and glamor. She has appeared in noticeable roles in movies like Under the Tuscan Sun, Must Love Dogs, Hollywoodland , Secretariat and Cinema Verite.
